At Stone Hut Studios, we offer full video production services. We like to start by holding discovery meetings to help conceptualize projects and determine a client’s needs. From there, all necessary steps of pre-production are coordinated and executed as we move into the filming itself. Finally, the project is edited utilizing feedback from our clients until the final pass has met, and hopefully exceeded, expectations.
Every project is as unique as the client requesting it, so setups and pricing can vary, but below is a broad overview of our offerings.
In Studio Shoots
Located in Traverse City, MI is our unique in-home studio setup. It features beautiful natural light, homey and warm background settings, good acoustics, and a comfortable filming experience. This option is great for filming intimate conversations, interviews, testimonials, and demonstrations.
Oral histories can also be recorded in the space and make for great gifts—capturing forever a loved one’s story as well as their image and voice (with optional photos/associated imagery).
Equipment and amenities available: professional 4K cameras (Sony FX3, Sony a7slll), high end lenses, tripods, monitors, standard teleprompter, face-to-face periscope interview teleprompter, fiber optic internet connection, white backdrop, (and a green screen). We also have a green room where you can adjust hair and makeup, change clothing, or freshen up.
On Location Shoots
The sky’s the limit (and sometimes even the location!) when it comes to filming with Stone Hut Studios. We offer local filming within 25 miles at a base rate of $1920 for a full day of filming. Travel and overnight stays are also an option for an additional cost. The same equipment as offered for in-studio shoots can be made available on location, and we can also provide licensed drone videography along with a fully supported filming crew in order to meet your needs.
Documentary Style Projects
This type of project is a company favorite – story arc, creative coverage, inspiring interviews, and editing it all together to affect viewers emotionally – it’s what filmmaking is all about! Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to put even the most generic of price-tags on something of this nature, so drop us a line – we’d love to chat about it!
Editing
We’re a full service video production house, so we include editing on all of our projects. If you have footage you’ve shot on your own, we can edit that too!
Our edits can include the addition of stock videos and photos, licensed music, and narration/voice over. Pricing is based on the complexity of the editing process and length of the finished video. Editing costs can range from $1000/min to $3000/min for more complex projects.
