At Stone Hut Studios, we offer full-service video production from concept to completion. Each project begins with a discovery meeting where we listen, ask questions, and shape the creative direction around your goals. From there, we handle every step of pre-production, coordinate the shoot, and move seamlessly into filming—whether in the studio, on location, or in the air.
Once production wraps, we bring it all together in post-production, collaborating closely with our clients through the edit until the final cut not only meets expectations but exceeds them. Every project is unique, and our setups and pricing are tailored to fit each story and vision.
Post-Production
Oftentimes, the magic of storytelling comes together in the edit. We offer editing on all the projects we shoot. If you have footage you’ve shot on your own, we can edit that too!
Our editing services include color grading, motion graphics, stock imagery, audio mixing and sound design, narration and voiceover, music licensing, titles, captioning, and multi-platform delivery.
Pricing is based on the complexity of the editing process and length of the finished video.
Videography
At Stone Hut Studios, we capture visuals with a documentary-style approach that feels real, cinematic, and full of life. Our team combines creativity and skill, using professional cinema cameras and techniques like slow motion and time-lapse to tell stories with depth and movement.
We keep our setup lightweight and adaptable, filming both on location and in studio environments with an eye for authentic moments and beautiful composition. Whenever possible, we work with natural light to preserve honesty and emotion in every frame.
Our team also includes licensed drone pilots who capture stunning aerial video and photography, adding a fresh perspective and sense of scale to every story we tell.
Studio Rental
Our unique in-home studio setup is located in Traverse City, Michigan. It features beautiful natural light, homey and warm background settings, good acoustics, and a comfortable filming experience. This option is great for filming intimate conversations, interviews, testimonials, and demonstrations.
Oral histories can also be recorded in the space and make for great gifts—capturing a loved one’s story, image, and voice.
Equipment and amenities available: professional 4K cameras (Sony FX3, Sony a7slll), cinema lenses, tripods, monitors, standard teleprompter, face-to-face periscope interview teleprompter, fiber optic internet connection, white backdrop, and a green screen. We also have a green room where you can adjust hair and makeup, change clothing, or freshen up.
